My name is Vicki, welcome to my home on the web 🙂
I am a picture taking back road traveler, history reading beachcomber, bubble blowing nature lover, storyteller, coffee drinking weather watcher…, and this is my blog.
I have lived in many places, I brake historical markers, and I like iced tea.
If you are wondering about the name of my website… Long ago and far away I had a home in the country where jelley jars were used for many wonderful things; in the kitchen for cooking, a vase for flowers from the garden, a pencil holder, tipped on the side for a backyard bird feeder, a button jar in the sewing room, to catch coins from the laundry, and on hot summer days as a glass for strawberry lemonade.
No matter where life takes me, I will be sure to bring along at least one jelley jar for bunches of wildflowers found along the highway!
Just like the bear that went over the mountain, I enjoy going for a drive just to see what I can see… and take some photos along the way. Thanks for stopping by!
I’m going out to clean the pasture spring;
I’ll only stop to rake the leaves away
(And wait to watch the water clear, I may)
I shan’t be gone long.
You come too!
