Look! Dick and Jane Are Back, in Twelve Hardcover Readers

A staple in schools in the 1950s and '60s, these renowned readers are filled with the same short upbeat stories, easy-to-follow vocabulary, and warm illustrations you remember. And what's best, they make learning to read fun.



McGuffey's Readers and Speller

These were the books from which children learned to read and write in the 1800s and 1900s. They are still wonder-filled sources of adventures, stories, fables, and poems. Seven hardcover volumes filled with the beautiful writings of literary giants such as Byron, Whittier, Irving, Lamb, and Defoe, with wonderful woodcuts and pen-and-ink illustrations.



The Bobbsey Twins!

When we were kids and it was too nasty to go outside and play - Bert, Nan, Flossie, and Freddie Bobbsey were always on hand to entertain us with one of their captivating mysteries.
